Is boiler servicing a legal requirement?
For homeowners it’s not usually a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended. For landlords, annual gas safety checks are a legal requirement, and a service is often carried out at the same time.
What should I do before the engineer arrives?
Make sure there’s clear access to the boiler, the area is well lit, and (if your boiler is in a cupboard) the space is emptied as much as possible. If you’ve noticed any issues, let us know when we arrive.
