I live in Chafford Hundred, my Worcester combi is 20 years old. What's a sensible replacement?
A like-for-like Worcester Greenstar 2000 (24kW or 30kW depending on your hot water demand) is the most common upgrade we do in Chafford Hundred. Fixed price £2,260 fully installed, 7-year warranty, completed in a day. If you want the longer 10-year warranty for the peace of mind, the Greenstar 4000 is £2,610. We can confirm the right kW rating with a quick call.
Do I need a powerflush if I get a new boiler in Grays?
Most installs need a system clean of some kind. For most jobs we include a magma cleanse with the install (a chemical clean that runs while we’re commissioning). If your system has significant sludge, visible cold spots on radiators, very dirty system water, repeated boiler lockouts in the existing system, we’ll recommend a full powerflush instead, quoted separately. We won’t try to sell you a powerflush you don’t need.
How long does an installation take in a typical Grays property?
A like-for-like combi swap in a Chafford Hundred semi or a Little Thurrock home is typically a one-day job. Victorian terraces near the town centre sometimes run to 1.5 days because of tighter pipework and flue access. We confirm the expected timescale when we quote.
